If there’s one mood to summarise the autumn/winter 2018 season, it’s incredible optimism. During the London shows, we saw clothes to lift our spirits and remind us of the power of women. New York and Milan, meanwhile, gave us hints of dystopia and in Paris, there was a bold mixture of sport and sex with plenty of skin on show.
THE TREND: Clueless’s Cher Horowitz is the season’s most unlikely icon, thanks to the return of colourful blazers and bold plaids at Versace, Christian Dior and more. Keep the youthful vibe going with schoolgirl separates and chunky ready-for-P.E. trainers.
